Thanks for sharing all the wonderful information about the Kliphuis name.  I wish I could read and understand more of it.

 

I am writing partly just to see if you know how my father fits in the line.  Some of the pictures have a resemblance to what I remember of my grandfather!

 

More importantly, my father, Jan Kliphuis, died of pancreatic cancer in 1979 when he was 50 year old. 

There is some genetic research going on here in the US that is attempting to identify a gene for the cancer.  I am participating in the study and will be sending a blood sample to the University of Pittsburg.  I am wondering if you know of anyone else in the Kliphuis family who has had this disease and if they would be willing to participate.

 

Any information would be very helpful.  Thank you so much in advance.
